How we hunt:
Stands, feeders and some
spot and stalk - no night hunting - no dogs.
Transportation to/from the hunting ground is included.
What to bring:
- Personal gear/weapons & ammo
- Snake boots or chaps required by our
insurance underwriter
- Drinks (no alcohol before or during
hunt), water, snacks
- Valid Texas hunting license (Boars -
Non-resident or out-of-state license is $45 for a
5-day non-game license and can be purchased online
or over the counter locally BEFORE the hunt begins)
and HUNTER SAFETY CARD as required by
Texas Parks and Wildlife and if you're not
familiar with Texas rules, click on the TPWD link to
find out who is required to have Hunter Safety
Education
- Food - the small guest house does have a
stove and refrigerator - we ask that you leave
nothing behind and clean up and leave the
guest house as nice as you found it. There are
several local eateries including Sonic, Dairy Queen,
Nuttin' Fancy Cafe, Clarendon Steak House, JD's
Steakout, Pizza Hut and Bronco Burger downtown - a
new donut shop has opened just across from the red
light at the west end of town
- Coolers for meat transport
What is provided:
- 1 Guide per 2 hunters - 2 hunters REQUIRED to
book hunt
- Clean, comfortable lodging for 2 nights
beginning with night of arrival
- Limit 2 hogs - 1 hog per day/per hunter; a
wound is considered a kill so shoot/aim
carefully
- Game will be field-dressed and placed in freezer
- if you want the hogs skinned and quartered, we
charge $30 per hog in addition to the hunt fee
payable in CASH
Check-in & Check-out times:
- Check-in after 3:00 p.m. on day of arrival but
before 7:00 p.m. at main lodge - sign waiver and
liability release
- Check-out by 3:00 p.m. on the 2nd day of your
hunt - no additional overnight stays are available
unless arranged at least 30 days in advance due to
incoming guests
50% payment is due to
reserve your date and the balance of the hunt is due 30
days prior to arrival
- We require a minimum of -2- hunters to reserve a
date - payments are non-refundable or transferable
- We
cannot accept early check-ins.
HUNTING LICENSE
IS REQUIRED! A hunting license is
required of any person, regardless of age, who hunts any
animal, bird, frog or turtle in this state (except
furbearers, if the hunter possesses a trapper's
license). Non-residents under 17 years of age may
purchase and hunt with the Youth Hunting License (Type
169).
Depending upon the amount of days they wish to hunt,
they will require one of the licenses below.
Non-resident Special Hunting (Type 107): $132
Valid to hunt: Exotic animals, all legal game birds (NOT
VALID FOR TURKEY), all nongame animals, squirrel,
javelina and alligator (not valid for other game
animals, NOT VALID FOR DEER). Stamp endorsement
requirements apply.
Non-resident
5-Day Special Hunting (Type 157): $48
Legal for any period of 5 consecutive days (valid
hunting dates will be printed on the license when
issued). Valid to hunt: Exotic animals, all legal game
birds (except turkeys), all nongame animals, squirrel,
javelina and alligator (not valid for other game
animals, NOT VALID FOR DEER). Stamp endorsement
requirements apply.
No stamps are required for non-game animals.
Hunter Education Certification is required of anyone
that was born on or after Sept. 2, 1971. |
