HUNTING
LICENSE IS REQUIRED! A hunting license is required of
any person, regardless of age, who hunts any animal, bird, frog or
turtle in this state (except furbearers, if the hunter possesses a
trapper's license). Non-residents under 17 years of age may purchase
and hunt with the Youth Hunting License (Type 169).
Depending upon the amount of days they wish to hunt, they will require
one of the licenses below.
Non-resident Special Hunting (Type 107): $132
Valid to hunt: Exotic animals, all legal game birds (NOT VALID FOR
TURKEY), all nongame animals, squirrel, javelina and alligator (not
valid for other game animals, NOT VALID FOR DEER). Stamp endorsement
requirements apply.
Non-resident 5-Day Special
Hunting (Type 157): $48
Legal for any period of 5 consecutive days (valid hunting dates will be
printed on the license when issued). Valid to hunt: Exotic animals, all
legal game birds (except turkeys), all nongame animals, squirrel,
javelina and alligator (not valid for other game animals, NOT VALID FOR
DEER). Stamp endorsement requirements apply.
No stamps are required for non-game animals.
Hunter Education Certification is required of anyone that was born on or
after Sept. 2, 1971.

Hog destroys feeder...Caroline takes him down!
Good friends and frequent hunters, James and Caroline Osteen are shown above
with Caroline's nice boar. We captured this bad boy on the game camera as he
proceeded to destroy a feeder and 200#'s of corn intended for whitetail and mule
deer. Caroline and James came up from Houston to rid us of one more mighty
beast. As you can see, he was a great trophy for Caroline.

Because the ranch is double hot-wired,
the hogs are ENCOURAGED to stay within the boundaries and we make it appealing
to them with full-time feeders and water. While not a 'hog-proof' fenced area,
it WILL keep the hogs on our ranch. No need for night hunts or dogs!!! This
ranch is ideal for serious hog hunters.
